Your Role

You will be part of a small, remote team of thoughtful, committed individuals in a profitable company who are changing the world of medicine. You will develop clean, scalable code and not be afraid to push technical innovation. You should consider yourself a full stack developer and enjoy DevOps. You will work in a collaborative environment and champion process and systems improvement. Specific areas include automated testing, continuous integration, continuous deployment, infrastructure automation and configuration management, server monitoring, log aggregation, and cultural transformation. You will help define our evolving Agile software development processes. You will help unlock the insights that reside in our database of 40+ million answered questions as we enter new markets.

Must haves

  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, MySQL and Git
  • Understand scalability, orchestration, automation, monitoring, and DevOps tools and concepts
  • Experience with Linux cloud infrastructure administration and automation
  • Be familiar with integration and unit testing (we use Rspec/Capybara/Teaspoon)
  • Experience working on remote/distributed teams
  • Excellent troubleshooting, time management, attention to detail and communication skills
  • Understand Agile and continuous integration/deployment practices
  • Understand software development process from an information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and technical perspective
  • 5+ years experience
  • Proven track record of coding cutting-edge interactive projects
