3rd Line Data Centre Migration Infrastructure Engineer (Contract)
Location: Remote Country: Spain Rate: Euros 400 - Euros 500pd
 

3rd Line Data Centre Migration Infrastructure Engineer is required for an initial 6 - 12 month contract working remotely for a Global IT wholesale and distribution company

The primary focus of the role will be for the 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to work on a European Data Centre migration upgrading Windows Servers from Windows 2012 - Windows 2019 before migrating the IIS web applications.

The 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer is required to have experience of the authentication of the old web applications to the new domain.

This includes the migrating and testing the applications with the Development team.

3rd Line Infrastructure Engineers wishing to be considered that they have extensive experience in the following areas;

  • Extensive experience of upgrading Windows Servers to Windows 2019
  • Good Active Directory migration knowledge.
  • Strong IIS knowledge and migrating E-commerce applications.
  • Experience of VMWare
  • Citrix would be beneficial but not essential
  • Understanding of networking, Switches, routing, and general networking communications.
  • Someone well rounded with a wide experience in a 3rd Line Infrastructure role
